Treesdale is an upscale community within Gibsonia that is as beautiful as it is quiet and safe.  The moderate weather in the area, beautiful golf courses, and slower pace make this a great place to raise a family.  It is not far outside of Pittsburgh, making it a great choice for commuters who prefer to live and play in a more low-key environment.

Treesdale has a lot to offer.  From a swimming pool and tennis courts for the spring and summer months to an ice skating rink for the cooler months, it is literally chock full of family fun.  The homes in this community can cost upwards of $1,000,000 but there are also “maintenance free homes” for those who want to enjoy the community without mowing grass and replacing shutters.

Nearby you also have Treesdale Golf and Country Club which is a premier golf club with 3 golf courses each comprised of 9 holes surrounded by orchards, creeks, and more.  They also have tennis courts, a fitness center, and other great amenities… all just 25 minutes from Pittsburgh.   It is open year-round but, if you want to visit this course, it is recommended that you go in the spring, summer or fall when the weather is suitable for outdoor activity.  Winter may be too cold.

If you do visit in the winter then The Western Pennsylvania Model Railroad Museum (founded in 1938) is also in Gibsonia.  It is a small museum which features exhibits, classes and more.  There are also many exciting and interesting displays.  It is great for children and adults alike who are interested in model trains and is a great way to spend an afternoon.
