New Sewickley is a rural community with a population of just over 7,000.  Its beautiful hilly landscape is beautifully lush and green.  The nice, moderate weather which experiences seasonal variation makes this a great place to go to see New England’s gorgeous landscapes. 

In the 1700s, New Sewickley Township was a part of a section of land set aside to be given those who had served in the Revolutionary War.  The original township was split and New Selwickey Township (19,279 acres of land) came into existence.  Eventually, New Sewickley Township was divided into a series of towns and communities.  What currently exists as New Sewickley Township is only 33.94 square miles. 

Green Valley Park is a great place to enjoy this township’s natural beauty in any season.  In the summer, enjoy beautiful days and sunshine and in the fall watch, the colors change. This medium-sized park features baseball, softball and soccer field, play areas, and shelters.  It’s a great place to sit and read quietly or invite friends and family for a party.
