Gibsonia, an incorporated community north of Pittsburgh is a quiet area with lots of nature to be enjoyed.  The weather is moderate and the area experiences seasons making it a great place to visit in the spring and summer for golf or in the cooler winter and fall months to watch the leaves change or enjoy the snow.  It is not a highly-populated area and is relatively quiet and peaceful.

Treesdale Country Club, a golf club in Gibsonia, celebrated its 20th anniversary in 2014.  It has 3 golf courses each comprised of 9 holes surrounded by orchards, creeks, and other gorgeous nature.  It also includes tennis courts, a fitness center, and more.  It is open year-round but, if you want to visit this course, it is recommended that you go in the spring, summer or fall when the weather is suitable for outdoor activity.  Winter may be too cold.

The Western Pennsylvania Model Railroad Museum (founded in 1938) is also in Gibsonia.  It is a small museum which features exhibits, classes and more.  There are also many exciting and interesting displays.  This is a great attraction to see if you visit in the winter when it is cooler as it is indoors.
